Science's 2013 Breakthrough of the Year: Cancer Immunotherapy

Each December, the editors of Science reflect back upon the major scientific discoveries of the year and choose one which they believe to be the most significant. In 2013, the journal has given the distinguished title of Breakthrough of the Year to cancer immunotherapy, a tumor-targeting strategy that holds immense promise.
