Cecil Effinger Conducts His Symphony 5, Denver Symphony Orchestra


Cecil Effinger (1914-1990): Symphony No. 5, Op. 62

Most famous for his frequently performed and widely recorded Little Symphony No. 1, American composer Cecil Effinger completed his Fifth Symphony in 1958. Interestingly, Effinger is also noted for his invention of the music typewriter allowing notes to be typed directly onto music paper.
