This performance was recorded on November 7, 1954; program notes by Fred Grunefeld on outer slipcase, and biographical sketch of Paganini by Hector Berlioz, reprinted from his "Evenings in the Orchestra," on inner slipcase. Arthur Grumiaux: Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto in D, Op. 35

In this 1960 recording, thirty-nine year old Belgian violinist Arthur Grumiaux (1921-1986) performs the Tchaikovsky violin concerto in D, Op. 35. Bernard Haitink conducts the Concertgebouw Orchestra of Amsterdam.

Grumiaux recorded Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto for Philips three times: in October and November 1956 with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra; in May 1960 with Haitink and the Concertgebouw Orchestra; and in September 1975 with Krenz and the New Philharmonia.

Arthur Grumiaux: Beethoven Violin Concerto in D major, Op. 61
In this 1958 recording, thirty-seven year old Belgian violinist Arthur Grumiaux performs the second and third movements of the Beethoven violin concerto in D major, Op. 61. Eduard van Beinum leads the Concertgebouw Orchestra of Amsterdam.
