World Premiere Classics Episode 3:
Mendelssohn / Eugene List / Carroll Glenn, 1969: Double Concerto in D minor - World Premiere

In this 1968 recording, American pianist Eugene List (1918-1985) and violinist Carroll Glenn perform the world premiere of the Mendelssohn Double Concerto in D minor For Violin and Piano. Ernst Märzendorfer (1921-2009) leads the Vienna Chamber Orchestra. This video is created from the LP shown above, issued in 1969 on the Westminster label, serial number WST-17166.
Included in this video: the extensive notes, penned by Mr. List, from the reverse side of the LP jacket (notes begin at 3:27, conclude at 9:30).
