Giuseppe Verdi Philharmonic Orchestra of Salerno
Founded in 1990, the Giuseppe Verdi Philharmonic Orchestra of Salerno represents the resident staff of all the opera-concert seasons of the Giuseppe Verdi Municipal Theatre.
Over the last years, the direction and the musical development of the orchestra have been entrusted to prominent conductors such as Peter Maag, Janos Acs, Nicholas Luisotti, Yoram David, Daniel Lipton, Donato Renzetti, Roberto Tolomelli, Paul Arrivabeni, Antonino Fogliani, Massimo Pradella, Piero Bellugi, Yves Abel, David Garforth and Daniel Oren.
It performed with soloists such as Massimo Quarta, Felice Cusano, Carlo Chiarappa, François Joel- Thiollier, Laura De Fusco, Michele Campanella, Marco Postinghel, Guido Corti, Paolo Restani, Francesco Nicolosi and Vadim Repin.
